Last year's trip to Usk was a great end to the season, played in good spirits despite proper old-school hard rugby and the occasional punch to give everyone a chance for a breather, with the hosts prevailing. This game was scripted more or less identically.
The game started at pace - fitting the conditions, and looked pretty even around half time, although the penalty count was an area Usk were excelling in.
However the hosts pulled away in the second half as tiredness set in to their visitors. The final intercept length-of-the-pitch try from hooker Urry was the final straw and the decision was to head to the shade of the bar.
The return of Slip'n'slide then proved very popular for all, and Club Dinner was enjoyed.
