Sunday is the first (coached and structured) match of the year vs Weston Hornets. SUBS BOOTS GUMSHIELD!

Weston are bringing two teams down but I am looking at getting a fixture with Weston Hornets. I am also speaking to St Brendans to get a team of new players to play a similar team from our side.
Parking will be tight, so please consider lift sharing and use the parking at Redwood lodge and the BGS astro pitch car park. It will be tight.

As per my mails, I recommend pads, from a confidence perspective. They are not a pre-requisit and are a nice to have.

Please pay your subs otherwise your child cannot play in the matches. It is cut and dried.

Really looking forward to this. So much progress made over the last couple of weeks. Returning players have come back strong and we have some really outstanding new joiners. Really fast and skilful and they are getting hold of the tackling. Lots of competition for places, which is always a good sign.

This year there are a slew of new trophies. There are three men of steel trophies, to be won and returned every week, then at the end of the season they will be presented to keep. There is a player of the week trophy, to be kept every week. There are similar players player of the year, coaches player of the year, newcomer of the year, clubman of the year (for club spirit) and another that we have not decided yet :) Lots to play for.

Please look at the website (if you are not already) for updates. If you are a keen photographer, please snap away. If you can let me have the top photos then I will post them on the website, alternatively there is an Old Bristolians Under 10s Facebook page, to post photos on. Please sign up on Facebook.

I will try to get team and match news on the website. If you feel inclined to write a match report (I struggle to remember the score!) then please put your hand up (ideally a different person every week) and I will mail them to the Post, and this needs to be with them by Monday PM.

Everyone will play (if the subs are done) on Sunday, and any questions, please let me know.

Cheers

Tinks
