The 1st XV were beaten by some straight hard running. The chop tackle was nowhere to be seen and this gave some strong ball carriers the option of route one all day. There was some good rugby played but tackling needs to be better. Ollie Hazell got BOP for his carrying and tackle count.
Cheltenham 37 - 17 OBs

The 2nds also travelled to Cheltenham to play in some of the windiest conditions in history. Despite being on top for the majority of the game, a number of handling errors or dropped/held up/penalty tries led to the scoreline not quite reflecting that. The work rate, patience and defence throughout was excellent, soaking up pressure then picking the right moment to attack. In any other club, you'd think someone who scored 4 tries would be a shoe in for BOP, but he gave away a penalty try at the death and this is OBs, so the obvious choice is Oli Higgs who had a consistently excellent game throughout, running rings around/straight over their 13.
