Colts collecting for the homeless at Christmas instead of training.

On 8th December The Colts will be having a very different Sunday morning.

There will be no training and instead the lads will be collecting clothes, food and other items for the homeless or those living in poverty.

We will deliver it all to Caring at Christmas after most of the lads have broken up so that they can help with that too.

And we would love the support of the OBs community and parents….

Can you donate any old clothes that would help keep someone warm and dry this winter?

Or can you donate some of the other items like food and toiletries?

We hope to fill the van before delivering it all to the makeshift shelter on behalf of OBRFC.

Please ensure that the items are well packaged/boxed so that we can transport easily - strong black bags should be ok for the clothes.

The shelters has asked for the following items:

FOOD: Instant coffee, Tea bags, Squash, Individual soft drinks, Multipack crisps, Multipack chocolate bars, Confectionery, Biscuits, Long life juice, Jam, marmalade, Chocolate spread, Marmite, Peanut butter, Cereal - the more sugary the better! Sandwich pickle, Sauces, Mayonnaise, Rice, Pasta, Tinned goods, Instant noodles.

CLOTHING: (warm, good quality, winter) New underwear and socks, Jumpers, Jeans, Trainers, Boots, Waterproof coats, Rucksacks, Belts, Sleeping bags, Blankets (no duvets)

TOILETRIES: (miniatures and full size) Shampoo, Shower gel, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Non-aerosol deodorants, Disposable razors, Wet wipes, Packs of tissues

OTHER: Laundry powder, Toilet roll, Puzzle books, Books, Arts & crafts supplies

The lads will be at the club between 10 and 12 on Sunday 8th December - Please bring your donations between these times.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Cheers, The Colts.
