Another close fought but enjoyable fixture

Despite the usual trepidation around the weather in January, OB's travelled to Frampton to play an open game in fantastic conditions. OB's started well, scoring a couple of end-to-end tries and using their speedy backs to good advantage.

However, Framtpon got themselves back in the game and so started a see-saw battle which had Framtpon winning a lot of frst phase possession and often making it count, while OB's stood true to their roots with quick penalties and turnovers then going quickly wide in to the spaces.

In the end, it was 5 tries each, with Framtpon's 2 conversions being the difference.

Pete was outstanding on his return from injury and formed a dangerous partnership with new boy Surya in the centre. Up front, Jack worked tirelessly over the ball and Kieran had obviously had a decent night's sleep this time and was a demon tackler! The front 5 stood up well in the scrum to a stronger opposition set piece. Henry also did well in the unfamiliar position of scrum half, and Marcus showed good attacking vision to move the ball into space and defensive fortitude playing at fly half.

All in all a great day out.
