OBs U15's squad show their focus and handling skills in a training game that could have turned messy!

Training games are usually an excuse for white line fever as we saw only a week ago, but not today! the coaching team could not have been more impressed with the focus and commitment of the players involved to play and execute the way that was agreed before the game. Thanks must go to Garth who turned out again this weekend, even though he was not on official duty, to add his advice and guidance in all things back play and with great success with stand out performances from:
9, Charlie who delivered and sniped all game, and moved to 10 with ease.
10, Oli (man of the match, Backs) who managed the game, took the ball flat and fast committing the opposition.
12, Andy '4 try's' Christie who showed all the skills of a seasoned pro and is pushing Bertie for the kicking duties.
13, Louis 'the hit man' Jamieson who did not miss a thing, again! and then gave a great cameo at 9
11, Jacob who backed his pace and caused mayhem in the opposition defence.
14, Benny 'The legs' Dell who was almost untouchable at times today and ran great lines as per the Garth training manual!
and the stand in 15 Laurence who controlled the back three and swept everything up delivering everything back with interest.
Not to be outdone the forwards gave us a display of control, gael, strength and intelligent decision making throughout the game with the performances to match the backs, the choice for man of the match had to be split between two players, Barney who was immense in the tight ripping the ball from the opposition 4 times and then following up with a number of barn'Y' storming runs and Keats who out scrummaged his opposition then lead the clean out...
please indulge me while I mention all the other players:
Todays pack leader Tays who was immense over the ball winning numerous breakdowns and leading his pack to new heights
Hussan who's performance improvements don't seem to plato, and who's huge contribution in the breakdown area delivering us incredibly quick ball all game
Matt Shaw who hooked well but whose lose play was monumental with a number of great pick ups and drives as well as a try scoring assist at the end of the game when he did the really dirty work on the ground to deliver the ball.
Potts 'the silent assassin' who as always was in the thick of it securing the ball and nullifying the opposition and who is the go to man.
Charlie A who never let anyone through, and punched wholes through the opposition at close quarters.
Tom has not had a bad game to date, but today he showed a maturity that established him as the squad player of the day with an unselfish but wholly effective and clinical display.
I would also like to thank todays referee Ben Christie, this was his first outing and he should be proud of his contribution.
Thank you to Bertie, Westy, Dan, Ben and Matty for turning up and supporting while injured, very much appreciated.
Finally to the coaches, Rob, Gavin, Paul and Fraser and our ever present Mum's, thank you! and come on the Gloucester Cup
