OBs fight hard for place in Gloucester Cup final

We knew that Hucclecote would test us to the very edge of our abilities with their skill set, pace in attack and reputation as 2012 cup winners. But quite so many strapping 6 footers, that would not have looked out of place in a Guard's regiment ?  Was it genetic engineering from the bowels of Hucclecote Castle? No, it's steroids in cattle of course and lots of burgers. 

In rugby you won't always be the winner but you can always be the team that never rolls over, always the team that never gives up, defends the line and is the "thorn in the side". 

Were our lads Intimidated ? Well I didn't ask them but if they were , they fed off the surging adrenaline and played with incredible heart and conviction in  true OBs spirit that led to the Hucclecote coach claiming we gave them the hardest game they've had in 3 years

He put in a true grafters performance in the forwards, tackling, ripping and driving like a machine

No fear, no backward step, always wants to win the inches, reassuringly safe at 15

Special mention to Benny Dell for his cheetah-like speed as he blazed down the right wing, a millimetre from the touchline and scored near the posts. Athlete, tightrope walker, surfer. ( girls, paying attention)

The coaches, family, friends and club members that watched the game on Saturday would like to say a huge well done to the boys for their monumental efforts in this game and getting all the way to the semis, in one of the toughest club competitions in the country
