We have learnt the sad news that Barry Murphy ex 1st Xv Vice Captain has passed away.

A minutes silence was observed before the 1st Xv game yesterday as a mark of respect for a true club character.

Barry was Dave Ryan's vice Captain in 1974 - 75 when the club won back to back merit tables and the Combination Cup.

MURPHY Michael Finbarr (Barry) Passed away at Southmead Hospital on 28th November 2017, aged 75 years. A much loved husband and father who will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends. Funeral Service to be held at Westerleigh Crematorium, Waterside Chapel on Monday 11th December at 11am. Family and friends to wear Club blazers and ties. Donations if desired to Cancer Research UK c/o H. G. Harris Funeral Directors, Broad Street, Staple Hill BS16 5LN.
