A summary of the results from the weekend

After a bit of uncertainty with Failand being flooded, the 1st XV opted to reverse the fixture and play Barton Hill away. Seemingly the correct choice after coming away with 5 points. Very good set piece and clinical backs led to a final score of 41-8. Tackling does need to be lower (get down early on a Tuesday for the Chop Shop). BOG Sheriff Biggo, monster carries and tackles.
OBs 41 - 8 Barton Hill

The 3rd XV travelled to Yate for one of the most anticipated games of the season. Having previously toppled Avonmouth, expectations were high and the energy was evident from the first whistle, none more so from than veteran scrum half Sam Froggett. Set piece was excellent with the line out functioning well above 90% and defence soaking up constant Yate pressure before counter attacking clinically when required. Even the two minute cameo of Mark ‘the Sideline Warrior’ Summerville’ didn’t put people off their stride. BOP was awarded to Sam for his hat-trick with a special mention to Slammy for doing what he does best.
Yate 7 - 57 OBs 3s
