U12, U14, U16 and U18s all recorded wins on a brilliant weekend for the Bristol Pumas.

A great match for the U14s, registering their first win.

It started well with the Pumas making ground from the first whistle. We almost got a try in the opening minutes, but the Kingswood girls fought hard to stop that happening and within the first 10 minutes, they opened their account with an impressive run down the wing and converted their try.

Our girls weren't taking that lightly and it wasn't long before we had a try, 1 all. Kingswood scored again taking us to the half time whistle at 5 - 12. A good half time chat, with plenty of ideas coming from the girls. We reinforced that they needed to stay alert in defence and from their efforts in the second half, they had visibly taken that to heart.

A tough ruck got the ball out to Phoebe, who powered down to the try line, bringing the score to 10 - 12. At that moment, they realised they could own this and it wasn't long before we got the ball over the line again, and then again. From then on, we were all just praying for the final whistle, which eventually came: 20 - 12 to the Pumas.

The Puma's defence was a thing to behold. Our attack was on point and we dominated the scrums. At one point, the ref asked our front row to bring it up a notch, because the Kingswood girls just couldn't get as low as we were. The biggest single thing for us, on the side lines, was the way the team worked together. Usually, we see individual moments of brilliance but little cohesion as a team. This game, everyone played their part. They worked together and fought their way up and down the field. We are so proud of their achievement and the way they have developed as a team, long may it continue.
