Good causes & charities

The Club has a long history of supporting Good Causes.

A key champion of this was Robbie Stuart, who tragically passed away in November 2008. A club stalwart and also the man who brought Brizzly bear to life for Fans at Bristol RFC for years, it was typical of him that even while battling leukaemia he continued his charity work, organising the legendary 2008 Dodge Ball competition amongst others - raising thousands for CLIC Sargent (now Young Lives vs Cancer), a fantastic charity that the Club maintains a strong connection with. https://www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

The Club continues Robbie's great work, and since Robbie's passing, the club has raised over £250,000.

Fund raising includes:

  • Rowing the Channel in 2013 - a feat fewer people have achieved than climbing Everest!
  • Annual charity pub golf and Christmas carol crawl
  • Fancy Dress Marathon
  • [
  • 24Seven endurance racing
  • Bristol's first Dodgeball Cup
